A letter to Hunter Marine:
Sirs; Just a note to let you know that I had the recent opportunity to be in Southern California, where I met Dougall Johnson of "Furlboom" . We had previously corresponded because I had some problems working the system correctly. Dougall remedied this, promptly and professionally, with a return phone call. Hunter would do well to have suppliers who take such personal care of their end users. I was taken out on YSA’s Newport 41 out of Newport Beach, Ca. for a sail lasting over an hour. They showed me exactly what the in the-boom furling system could do. especially adjusting the draft by tensioning the single ratchet line from the safety of the cockpit. This was a novelty to me. I believe my boat to be the first that Hunter factory equipped with a Furlboom. (it is the 326, which was at the 2000 Annapolis Boat Show). Believe me, Hunter should make this system more readily aware to buyers. Just a note of appreciation Regards Jim Conley
