Deck Hardware Layout: Most Furlboom installations take advantage of the capability of controlling the system from cockpit. The photos below show the drive box attached to the back of the mast with the furling rope drive attached. Three lines are run aft through a series of blocks on the deck. In the photos below the red line closest to the mast functions as the halyard, the white line in the middle is the furling line, and the small black line to the far right is the ratchet pin release line. Please refer to paragraphs 22 and 23 of the installation instructions. Care should be taken to not have the furling line block to far forward or to far aft as the furling line will not wind on the furling drum evenly. See the furling line angle photos below.
